INTERNATIONAL SUMMER SCHOOL
Siberia is the so-called crossroads of all communication routes between Europe and Asia as well as a territory of interaction of more than 30 peoples and nationalities with their culture, traditions and heritage. Influence of the modern cultural components results in the Cultural Code of Siberia.
SUMMER SCHOOL ATTENDANCE MODES
- in the morning – lectures and theory;
- in the afternoon – participation in workshops, panel discussions, preparing presentations;
- foreign participants can stay at Russian-speaking families and get accustomed to the culture and traditions of the Siberian life;
• in the evening the Russian participants organize sports, food and cultural events to show the beauty of Siberia. There is a river trip along the Ob, musical and language meetings and a cuisine competition.
SUMMER SCHOOL OBJECTIVES:
- immersion in the study and discussion of the national and cultural characteristics of Siberia;
- creation of media products about the ethnic culture and identity of Siberia;
- increasing the level of recognition of the diversity of multiculturalism through modern communication methods;
- development of international educational tourism through country visits and student exchanges.
